Tropical Spice Garden, Enjoy The Beauty Of Nature
The Tropical Spice Garden is located in Malaysia in the north western shores of Penang in Teluk Bahang. The Tropical Spice Garden was formed by the efforts of David Wilkinson and Rebecca Wilkinson, together with their teammates, Kenneth Koo, Katharine Chua, Frederick Walker and Lim In Chong. The site was built upon a former abandoned rubber plantation. The Tropical Spice Garden was completed in one and a half years and has a collection of over 500 species of flora. The Tropical Spice Garden project was funded by the Bertam Consolidate Rubber Co. Ltd. The venture was an eco tourism venture and the Tropical Spice Garden is environmentally concerned and employs eco friendly items and methodologies.
There are 11 different Garden Rooms spread over an eight acre land which include the Jungle Trail, Fern Walk, Croton Walk, Ornamental Valley, Sugar Terrace, Ginger Walk, Bamboo Garden, Spice Terraces, Banana/Heliconia Bank, Cycad Room and Water Garden. There are three trails to follow when going through the Tropical Spice Garden these include the Jungle Trail, the Ornamental Trail and Spice Trail.
When going through the Jungle Trail, one can witness palms, wild orchids, ferns and numerous other jungle plants. Going through the Ornamental Trail gives one a view of some of the most exotic collections of flora that can be found in the tropics. The Spice Trail consists of over 100 types of herbs and tropical spices.
While in Penang, one needs to find Penang accommodation. A Penang hotel would be a good choice to stay at. Besides providing the comforts offered it would also provide convenient aceess to a number of other local attractions.
